Hoop & Stick Con 2015!

GenCon is coming up this week, and it’s got us in the convention spirit here at Ravenwood Castle. So we can’t think of a better time to announce our next gaming convention, the third annual Hoop & Stick Convention!

Hoop & Stick Con 2015 will be held Thursday February 26th through Sunday March 1st. Four days and three nights of gaming goodness, in a castle, for charity. It really doesn’t get better than this!

We are looking forward to the return of Colby Dauch and Isaac Vega from Plaid Hat as our Guests of Honor. They will be demoing some of Plaid Hat Games’ many hits, will be sharing their most recent prototype with us, and will almost certainly be getting into a variety of Fiasco! based hijinks.

The schedule will include a variety of role playing sessions, including Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and possibly Fate. We are also likely to be treated to a session or two of Star Wars Edge of Empire, GMed by our own wandering evangelist Karington. Those who were lucky enough to participate in one of these sessions at Con in the Castle will tell you they’re not to be missed!

At last year’s convention we raised $5,820 for Child’s Play. We are setting ourselves an aggressive goal this year, and are aiming for $7,500. For details on Child’s Play, and why we support it, check out our previous blog post, It’s As Easy As Child’s Play.

So join us February 26th through March 1st, 2015, and enjoy four days of great gaming for a great cause!

Interested in doing more to help out? We are in the process of lining up sponsors and donors for Hoop & Stick 2015. If you would like to discuss sponsorship opportunities or make a donation for the silent auction, please contact us at hoopandstick@ravenwoodcastle.com
