Weddings – Now Booking for 2017 & 2018!

We host all kinds of events and activities here at Ravenwood Castle. From beer tastings to game conventions, from murder mysteries to corporate retreats, we cover a lot of ground. Ironically, one of our favorite types of events is the one we discuss the least here on Quoth the Raven: Weddings.

Weddings at Ravenwood Castle run the gamut from intimate ceremonies featuring just the couple and an official, all the way up to full scale 150 person events. We have a selection of ceremony locations both indoors and out, from the Great Hall to the Pavilion in the Woods. Whether you’re looking for simple classic elegance or a fully themed medieval wedding, we offer the perfect venue for a unique wedding experience!

There is only one drawback when it comes to hosting weddings – our availability is limited. There are only so many weekends in the year, and they fill up quickly with beer tastings, game conventions, murder mysteries and corporate retreats – not to mention regular guests enjoying a quiet weekend! So when it comes to our popular full castle King & Queen and Royal Court wedding packages, we often find ourselves competing with, well, ourselves!

In the last few weeks alone we’ve had to turn away half a dozen wedding parties for 2016, and there’s nothing we hate more than disappointing our guests. So in an effort to create more availability for happy couples, we are making a slight change to our booking policies. While we only book our rooms and events one year in advance, effective immediately we are going to accept wedding bookings up to two years in advance! So although our 2016 calendar may be nearly full, we are now booking weddings for 2017 and 2018! The early bird gets the worm, and the early bride gets the castle!

From a small indoor ceremony in the Great Hall, to an outdoor wedding at the Pavilion in the Woods, all the way up to exclusive use of the entire Ravenwood realm for the weekend for you and up to 150 guests, we have an offering to make your big day extra special! Call (740) 596-2606 or email us today and let us help you create a magical wedding!
