Knights of the Round TableTop Day 2016!

Join us Saturday April 30th, 2016 for the fourth annual International TableTop Day!

International TableTop Day is produced by Geek & Sundry, creators of the popular YouTube series TableTop, which features actor Wil Wheaton and celebrity guests playing hobby board games. Each episode of TableTop features a particular board game, and teaches the audience – and sometimes the players – how to play. Given how fond we are of teaching people hobby board games, we’re big fans of the show.

With International TableTop Day, Geek & Sundry takes TableTop on the road. More to the point, they invite their fans to take the show into their own hands and get out and spend the day playing board games. The stated mission is to remind us to spend more time with our friends and family by playing board games together. That sounds an awful lot like our mission here at Ravenwood Castle and The Malted Meeple!

Events are organized around the world, from groups of friends in the family room, to large groups at venues such as game stores, cafes and castles. Well, at least one castle that is. We are once again joining the fun this year with our own events.

Here at Ravenwood we are bringing back Knights of the Round TableTop Day. On Saturday April 30th, come on out to Ravenwood Castle, bring along some friends, and celebrate International TableTop Day with us. This is a free, non-ticketed event. Our doors will be open to the public from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday. Enjoy a day of board games with old friends and new. Better yet, reserve a room and enjoy an entire weekend of games!

The Malted Meeple will also be partaking in the festivities. Join us for a day of great games, great milkshakes and great people! They will be joined by Jon Gilmour, designer of great games such as Dead of Winter! Jon will be sharing some of his newest creations with guests, including Heroes & Tricks, Wasteland Express Delivery Service and Vault Wars!

So whether at Ravenwood Castle or The Malted Meeple, visit us on Saturday April 30th and celebrate International TableTop Day!

In the meantime, be sure to check out a few episodes of TableTop. You’ll be glad you did.
