Hoop & Stick 2017 Wrap Up

This weekend over 50 gamers joined us at Ravenwood Castle for the fifth annual Hoop & Stick Convention. We enjoyed four days and three nights of great gaming, all for a wonderful cause – to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!

Donations for Hoop & Stick take several forms – ticket sales, a portion of room rentals, sales of custom badge holders (new this year!) and a silent auction. We had an absolutely amazing silent auction this year, thanks to a wonderful lineup of sponsors and donors. All told, we blew past our fundraising goal, and raised $9,557, our best ever!

Thanks to Colby, Isaac and the crew from Plaid Hat Games for returning as our Guests of Honor. Thanks also to Mike and the crew from Ohio Pathfinder Society, who ran even more sessions this year than ever before. These two great organizations have been with us from the beginning of Hoop & Stick, and the convention just wouldn’t be the same without them!

We’ll be giving our convention organizers a short break, and will then turn to putting the final touches on our summer shindig, Con in the Castle 2017.  Stay tuned for announcements on that front in the next few weeks.

In the meantime, thanks again for all of your continued support, and we look forward to an even bigger and better Hoop & Stick next year!
