Activity Spotlight – R Adventure Park

In the Activity Spotlight we highlight some of the many great activities available within a short drive from Ravenwood Castle.

With so many attractions to visit in the Hocking Hills area it can sometimes be hard to choose where to spend your time first.  So we thought we would help you out with a suggestion – why not visit the spot where you can do it all?

Head on over to R Adventure Park, located in nearby Logan, Ohio. R Adventure Park’s goal is to provide fun for the whole family, and they have enough activities to reach that lofty goal!

Just a few of the activities available at R Adventure Park include:

ATV Rides – Saddle up and ride a Kawasaki Brute Force 300 or Suzuki Kingquad 400, both of which are great for beginner and expert riders alike. Before you jump on your ATV an expert guide will give you a complete orientation to teach you the correct riding methods. Once you’ve completed orientation you are ready to ride through roughly 14 miles of trails with varying difficulty levels.

Paintball – Grab one of R Adventure Park’s high quality paint guns, load up, and try your hand at paintball! There are two courses to choose from, a woodsball course and a speedball course. Both courses are a blast!

Zip Rail – Do you love roller coasters and/or zip lining? Then you are sure to love the Zip Rail.  During the 45 second ride you will reach speeds of up to 40 mph!  Go as fast or slow as you want with your own braking system.  To make it even better R Adventure Park has two Zip Rails so you can race your family and friends!

Ropes Course – To slow things down a bit after the exhilarating Zip Rail, be sure to check out the Ropes Course. With 64 challenges and counting, you are sure not to be bored! (Must be 42” or taller to tackle the Ropes Course.)

Moonshiners’ Mystery Shack – Cross the vortex event horizon and enter gravity’s playground, where the unexpected becomes expected.  The Moonshiners’ Mystery Shack is naturally abnormal.  No high tech trickery, just nature running amok. You will take a guided tour and experience the 14 interactive demonstrations that include standing on the wall, balls that roll up hill, water that defies gravity and seeing people grow and shrink, just to name a few.  Confusing fun for all!

The next time you visit Ravenwood Castle, be sure to set aside a day for a short trip (only 20 minutes!) up to the R Adventure Park in Logan. We recommend you call ahead as several activities require reservations.
