Room Spotlight – The Library

It has been over a year since the last entry in our Room Spotlight series. That entry featured the Raven’s Roost Pub. It’s fitting then that as we restart this series we visit the room right next door to the Pub, the Library.

As you would expect, the Library houses Ravenwood Castle’s sizable collection of books and other reading material. Floor to ceiling book shelves adorn the walls, complemented by a cozy fire place and a collection of paintings by noted fantasy artist Larry Elmore.

Library Gaming

Guests are encouraged to borrow a book to enjoy during their stay. Some choose to curl up and read in the Library itself on the couch or one of the easy chairs, while others take their literary treasure back to their suite or to one of the many hidden reading nooks on site.

Book storage is far from the Library’s only function however. With its cozy size and large central table, the Library serves as a great gathering or meeting spot for small groups. That same table is perfect for enjoying a role playing game or spreading out one of those larger board games. These features combine to make the Library the site of our popular Ravenwood Raid package, a getaway designed for small groups looking to spend a few days together enjoying some quality game time.

Whether you’re searching for a good book, a place to enjoy a great game, or a spot to gather with friends, no visit to Ravenwood Castle is complete without a trip to the Library!
