Dining at Ravenwood Castle

Ravenwood Castle offers fine dining in its Great Hall from breakfast to dinners and sometimes  murder mysteries and other theme events. A trio of large stained glass windows and an enormous stone fireplace anchor each end of  the 50-foot long Great Hall.  During the winter, guests can indulge in culinary excellence while enjoying the cozy fire. The room is decorated with beautiful, heavily carved tables and chairs and the portrait of King James V of Scotland presides over our guests.

We invite our guests to visit the Rose and Thistle Pub and select from our Wine/Beer menu or match wits over a game or two.  If you are not into games, and you prefer to relax then visit our library to find the perfect novel to pass the time away.  DVDs and VHS tapes can be found in the library for your enjoyment.

Breakfast Times:

Breakfast is served between 8:30 - 10 a.m. in the Castle's Great Hall or the covered porch. In summer, guests can take advantage of the terrace overlooking the formal garden.

We offer a breakfast buffet featuring a hot entrée plus fresh fruit, home-baked muffins, granola, cereals, yogurt, juices, coffee and teas included in our Castle Rooms and Medieval Cottages room rate.  For the Gypsy Wagons and the Fairy Tale Cabins, a basket of breakfast goodies (homemade granola, fresh baked muffins, yogurt, whole fruit, yogurt, orange juice and milk) will be delivered to your wagon each morning sometime between 8:30am and 9:00am.

Lunch Times:

The Tea Room is opened year round, Wednesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Treat yourself or a special guest to a “spot of tea” and catch up on the news or select from the menu for a hearty lunch.

Afternoon:

Complimentary beverage and afternoon sweets are offered to our visiting guests.  It is just the perfect touch after the day at  either Hocking Hills or Lake Hope.

Happy Hour:

As you prepare yourself for an elegant dining experience, come enjoy a glass of wine or beer from our extensive menu at the Rose and Thistle Pub.
