Hocking Hills - Conkle's Hollow

  Hocking Hills - Conkle's Hollow

So what's so special about the area around our accommodations? Ravenwood Castle is located right in the heart of the Hocking Hills Region and only a ten minute drive from Hocking Hills State Park. Hocking Hills State Park offers outdoor adventures including 25 miles of hiking trails, naturalist programs year-around and plenty of sights to see.

Once such area is Conkle's Hollow - one of six major hiking areas in the Hocking Hills State Park trail system.

Conkle's Hollow features an upper and lower trail system. The lower trail is paved partway and accessible by wheelchair. It has waterfalls, hemlocks and follows along a beautiful creek. The upper section is more rugged and features sheer cliff faces that will nearly take your breath away. It is not recommended for children.

Length: The rim is 2 1/2 miles long and the lower trail is about a mile. It takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours to hike the rim or upper trail and about 1 hour to hike the lower trail
