what's so special about the area around our accommodations?
Ravenwood Castle is located right in the heart of the
Hocking Hills Region and only a ten minute drive from
Hocking Hills State Park. Hocking Hills State Park offers
outdoor adventures including 25 miles of hiking trails,
naturalist programs year-around and plenty of sights to see.
Once
such area is
Conkle's Hollow - one of
six major hiking areas in the Hocking Hills State Park trail
system.
Conkle's Hollow
features an upper and lower trail system. The lower trail is
paved partway and accessible by wheelchair. It has
waterfalls, hemlocks and follows along a beautiful creek.
The upper section is more rugged and features sheer cliff
faces that will nearly take your breath away. It is not
recommended for children.
Length: The rim is 2 1/2 miles long and the lower trail is
about a mile. It takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours
to hike the rim or upper trail and about 1 hour to hike the
lower trail
