Richard Launius at Con in the Castle 2014!

Announcing the second annual Con in the Castle, July 18th to 20th, 2014!

Con in the Castle is our summer gaming convention, and includes three days of board games, role playing sessions, and general gaming goodness, all – of course – in a castle.

We have a wonderful Guest of Honor joining us this year, none other than Richard Launius from King Richard Games. Richard has created some great games, such as Arkham Horror, Elder Sign, Ace Detective, Pirates vs. Dinosaurs, and Defenders of the Realm. He will be playing these with guests, and has also promised to bring along some of the new prototypes he’s working on: including Run, Fight or Die!

Role playing activities at Con in the Castle will include scheduled sessions of Pathfinder and Star Wars Edge of Empires. We may also have a few games of Fate and Dungeons and Dragons Next up our sleeves. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Ravenwood gaming convention if we didn’t end up with a few impromptu late night rounds of Fiasco!

It’s no accident that Con in the Castle is set in the peak season for outdoor activities in the Hocking Hills. In addition to all of the gaming activity at the convention itself, guests who wish to get out and see some nature can take advantage of the nearby zip lines, canopy tours, hiking, canoeing and horseback riding. In the spirit of the season, we will also be replacing our traditional Medieval Style dinner with an outdoor barbecue.

Look for a more detailed event schedule in the coming weeks. In the meantime, be sure to visit Con in the Castle 2014 for further information, and click the “Reservation” button in the upper right of this page to secure a room on site!
