Sherlock Holmes and the Deadly Menagerie – Sept 14th & 15th

This week continues our launch of the 2018-2019 Murder Mystery season, with the announcement of the second mystery of the season. Following on the (oversized) heels of The Bigfoot Files, we will be returning to one of our favorite themes – Sherlock Holmes! The world’s greatest detective hasn’t visited Ravenwood for several years. We welcome him and Dr. Watson back from their hiatus with a brand new adventure, Sherlock Holmes and the Deadly Menagerie!

The last few years have been peaceful at Ravenwood Castle. Guests and staff alike have very nearly recovered from the terror visited upon them by the sinister villain Moriarty and his Deadly Hand. But the times of quiet appear to be at an end.

Earlier this week, the castle’s groundskeeper suddenly fell ill, and expired before medical help could arrive. An examination revealed what appeared to be a bug bite, and the cause of death was declared to be the bite of a venomous spider. While tragic, the death appeared quite mundane. That is, until the toxicology reports determined the venom to be that of the Brazilian wandering spider, a species from the jungles of South America.

It was only after this revelation that castle staff realized the groundskeeper’s death had occurred three years to the day from Moriarty’s last appearance. Concerned over the connection, however tenuous, the staff have enlisted the aid of the Ravenwood Detective Agency.

How did a South American spider come to be in the gardens of an Ohio castle? Was the groundskeeper’s death a tragic fluke, or foul play? Is it merely coincidence that the incident occurred on the third anniversary of Professor Moriarty’s appearance?

Veteran and novice detectives alike are invited to join the Ravenwood Detective Agency September 14th & 15th for Sherlock Holmes and the Deadly Menagerie to answer these questions and more!

Tickets for Sherlock Holmes and the Deadly Menagerie are $100, and include Saturday night’s dinner. As with all of our mysteries, the event starts with dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.

And stay tuned for more announcements about our exciting 2018-2019 mystery season!
