It’s ALMOST the most wonderful time of the year! As we deck the halls and hang our stockings with care, we aren’t forgetting that one of our most anticipated events of the year is quickly approaching. Our 2nd annual Christmas Past, Present, and Future Event is December 13th & 14th and is sure to get you into the Christmas spirit. With a weekend full of delicious meals, holiday entertainment, and a lineup of “magical” activities, this is a celebration you don’t want to miss!
Friday kicks off during check-in where guests are tasked with a scavenger hunt. After scouring the premises and settling in (maybe even finishing off a pint or two of Castle Butterbeer), guests will enjoy our famous Tudor Christmas Dinner show. As we pay an ode to Christmas Past, enjoy a delicious buffet dinner with King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth and their entertainers. After bellies are full and laughs have been shared, join Ebeneezer Scrooge for stories in the Pub.
Saturday starts off with our breakfast buffet and tree trimming in the Great Hall from 8:30 – 10:00 AM. This day is all about Christmas Present, and we have a wonderful lineup of some modern Christmas traditions. Spend the morning and afternoon playing board games from our library, adventuring the grounds, enjoying lunch from the Raven’s Roost Pub, or venturing offsite to Christmas at Ash Cave from 4:30-6:30 PM. This family-friendly event begins with an unguided lantern walk around Ash Cave so bundle up! Once in the cave, families can visit with Santa, sit around the campfire, listen to carolers, sip hot chocolate and munch on cookies. After the festivities, head back to the Castle because dinner starts promptly at 7:00 PM! Dinner is served family-style in the Great Hall and make sure to wear your ugliest sweater for the Ugly Sweater Contest! Afterwards, adjourn to the pub for a Christmas movie and popcorn.
The final day of the weekend blasts us into Christmas Future, as guests enjoy breakfast with a very “magical” guest – and yes, we mean magical in more than one way! While munching on cinnamon rolls and sipping coffee, take a moment to write your future self a Christmas Wish Letter.
So, join us December 13th & 14th for the Christmas Past, Present & Future weekend celebration! Tickets are $100 per person and include dinner both nights. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.
