New Cottage Name & Contest Winner!

Judging by the number of emails I’ve received recently, many of you are eagerly awaiting the results of our recent Name the Cottage contest. We’ve spent the last ten days reviewing all of the amazing submissions. There were some truly creative suggestions, which made the decision process more difficult than we’d expected.

Before announcing the winner, I would like to thank you all for your participation, and for your excitement for the new cabins!

The winning name, which was submitted by Becky R., is the Baker’s Cottage! The Baker’s Cottage will be the perfect complement to the Brewer’s Cottage, as well as being a nice tribute to one of our very own – Linda Baker.

Linda has been with Ravenwood Castle for many years, and is a constant presence in the castle kitchen. She is perhaps best known as the creator of our famous cinnamon rolls. If that doesn’t deserve having a cottage named after you, I don’t know what does!

Construction on the new cottages is getting underway now. Stay tuned over the next few months for updates and photos as the Brewer’s and Baker’s Cottages take their place as the newest additions to the Medieval Village.

Also please join us in congratulating Becky, the winner of the contest and a two night stay in the new Baker’s Cottage! We look forward to your visit!
