Hoop & Stick Con 2019!

We recently wrapped up our summer gaming convention, Con in the Castle, but the team is already back at work planning our next convention, the seventh annual Hoop & Stick Con!

Hoop & Stick Con 2019 will be held Thursday February 21st through Sunday February 24th, 2019. As I say every year, Hoop & Stick is four days of gaming goodness, in a castle, for charity – it really doesn’t get any better!

Every year we put on a slew of role playing sessions, and every year we hear that there still wasn’t enough role playing! We’re changing things up a bit this year to help out with that. As always, Mike and the crew from Ohio Pathfinder Society will be joining us to run numerous Pathfinder and Starfinder sessions. And this year we’ll be joined by a few guest game masters from The Malted Meeple. The Dungeon Meeples as we call them will be running a variety of sessions, covering systems chosen by you! Once online registration is complete, we will be sending out a variety of surveys in order to gauge exactly what types of games you’d like to participate in this year. Not only will we be offering more games this year, they’ll be more targeted!

Of course Hoop & Stick Con isn’t just about role playing games. There will be plenty of board gaming as well. In addition to the always available board game library and the ever present open board gaming, we plan to offer more scheduled board game sessions. Stay tuned for details!

At last year’s Hoop & Stick Con, we raised over $12,000 for Extra Life and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, blowing away our goal of $10,000. As we do every year, we are setting our sights even higher and hoping to raise even more for the coming convention. To hit that goal we are going to need your help. If you or someone you know would like to sponsor Hoop & Stick Con 2019, please visit our sponsorship page, or contact me directly at hoopandstick@ravenwoodcastle.com

Every year Hoop & Stick Con fills up extremely quickly. Beginning with the fifth anniversary convention we offered our alumni a brief preregistration window, and we have done so again this year. As a result we have an extremely limited number of rooms left available. If you would like to join us for Hoop & Stick Con 2019, act fast! You can book online, or give us a call at 740.596.2606, we’d be glad to help.

If you aren’t able to secure a room for Hoop & Stick Con 2019, please don’t be discouraged! We know there are more people interested in attending Hoop & Stick Con than we can accommodate, so this year we are thrilled to be able to offer a new and expanded solution – Hoop & Stick Con North! Hoop & Stick Con North will be held the weekend before Hoop & Stick Con, and will be located at the Malted Meeple in Hudson, Ohio. Activities will include scheduled board game sessions and demonstrations, as well as several weekend long role playing tracks. Stay tuned here and on the Malted Meeple’s blog in the coming months for more exciting announcements about this new addition to our Hoop & Stick Con family!

Thank you again for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you at the seventh annual Hoop & Stick!
