Dungeons & Detectives – January 23rd & 24th!

The 2025-2026 murder mystery season is well underway here at Ravenwood Castle. The first two cases have been closed, and half of the upcoming season’s mysteries have already been announced. But never fear, there are still a few openings for mysteries in the first half of the season, as well as some exciting themes and settings coming up in the second half. This week I am thrilled to announce the next installment in our extremely popular series of tabletop roleplaying inspired mysteries, this one with a bit of a twist. Please join Chief Detectives Michelle and Ryan as they lead the Ravenwood Detective Agency in Dungeons & Detectives…

A bitter wind swept across the grounds of Ravenwood Castle, carrying with it a whisper from another world. Inside the castle’s Library, five strangers stand over a bloodstained carpet – not strangers to each other, but to this world.

The group were detectives from a fantasy realm, a realm populated by elves, dwarves, halflings and orcs. For years, heroes and villains alike from their world had been vanishing, snuffed out as if by an unseen hand. Their investigation had led to an impossible conclusion: the deaths were not native to their land, but were being written here, in our world.

Now, in the shadow of Ravenwood’s halls, a human lies dead, perhaps the first victim on this side of the veil. Quills and dice lie scattered across the table where he fell, a table laden with maps of their home world and papers containing the names and details of some of their fallen friends. The detectives realize the lines between fantasy and reality are blurring, and the murderer they hunt may not belong to either world.

The Ravenwood Detective Agency is calling all agents, investigators from either world, to assist in solving this cross-dimensional case. Join us January 23rd & 24th for Dungeons & Detectives!

Tickets for Dungeons & Detectives are $100. As with all of our mysteries, the event starts after dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.

SPECIAL NOTE: Please be aware that while the theme of this mystery involves a game of Dungeons & Dragons gone wrong, the event itself is a murder mystery weekend with all of the usual activities, and is not in fact a game of Dungeons & Dragons.

If you haven’t been to one of our mystery weekends and are wondering what they are all about, check out our Anatomy of a Murder Mystery page for all of the details. And stay tuned here at Quoth the Raven to hear about the rest of the great mysteries we have planned for this season!
