Winter Getaways and the Winter of Gaming

We at Ravenwood Castle are no strangers to winter.  Most of us were born and raised in Ohio, and are more than familiar with the bleak skies and dreary weather that can accompany a Great Lakes winter.  Sure, the first few snow falls are exciting, and everyone loves building that first snow man.  But once the novelty wears off, an Ohio winter can tend to drag on.  You may even find yourself suffering from the dreaded winter doldrums.

Winter is coming.  It’s inevitable.  But there’s no need to resign yourself to staring out the window hoping for a glimmer of sunlight.  Escape the doldrums with a winter getaway to Ravenwood Castle and let us fill your winter with warmth and entertainment!  Pull a chair up to the fire and enjoy a craft brew or mug of hot chocolate with a good friend, a good book, or a relaxing board game.

As life-long Ohioans, we know that a simple two day winter getaway may not be enough to vanquish the winter blues.  So stay for a third day – or as long as it takes to shake the doldrums – and receive 50% off the third and subsequent nights.  We’ll have plenty going on to distract you from the gray skies outside!

Enjoy a few days of rest and relaxation; peruse our extensive library of books and DVDs; or join us for events such as Alice in Ravenland and Young Frankenshteen Murder Mystery.  Stay tuned for more event announcements in the coming weeks!

Gaming Getaways

For our gaming guests we have something new planned – our first ever Winter of Gaming!  We will be running custom Ravenwood themed game sessions throughout the winter, using the Pathfinder, D&D Next, Fate Accelerated and Call of Cthulhu systems.  We will also be sprinkling a variety of gaming events throughout the season to make your winter getaway extra special.  We already have Ravenwood Looking for Group and Intro to Gaming sessions scheduled, and will be adding more soon.  And as always, our game instructors and game library are available to brighten your stay.  Check out more details of our gaming specific winter getaways on our new Winter of Gaming page.

Plan your winter getaway to Ravenwood Castle now, and escape the winter doldrums.

Winter is coming… Don’t get left in the cold!

The Winter Getaway offer is available December 1st through February 28th.
