Con in the Castle 2017!

We are thrilled to announce the fifth annual Con in the Castle, July 14th to 15th, 2017!

Con in the Castle is our summer gaming convention, and includes three days of board games, role playing, and general gaming goodness, all – as you would expect – in a castle.

Our Guest of Honor this year is Curt Covert, founder of Smirk & Dagger Games, creator of such great games as Dead Last and Cutthroat Caverns. Smirk & Dagger specializes in games with a big helping of social interaction, and a bigger helping of “take that!” Their design philosophy is nicely summed up in their tag line, “’cause games are a lot more fun when you can stab a friend in the back”

Curt will be sharing Smirk & Dagger’s full lineup with our guests, including their upcoming release Biotix. Curt will also be demoing prototypes of several of their upcoming games, including Tower of Madness and Paramedics: Clear!

In addition to all of the great board games, Con in the Castle will once again feature a strong role playing lineup. Available games will include Pathfinder, Dungeons & Dragons and various flavors of Star Wars. We may also have a few games of Numenera and other great systems up our sleeves.

It is no accident that Con in the Castle is set in the peak season for outdoor activities in the Hocking Hills. On top of the gaming activity at the convention itself, guests who wish to get out and see some nature can take advantage of the nearby zip lines, canopy tours, hiking, canoeing and horseback riding.

Look for a more detailed event schedule in the coming weeks. In the meantime, be sure to visit our Con in the Castle 2017 page for further information, and click the “Reservation” button in the upper right of this page to secure your tickets and a room on site!
