Midweek Vacation!

This week’s Quoth the Raven is written by the Malted Meeple’s Head Game Master – and former Ravenwood Innkeeper – Karington Hess.

The work week, a time-honored American tradition.

For most folks, this means toiling away at their job from nine to five. Though not everyone’s schedule is the same, one thing that we can all agree on is that we all need a break from time to time. Weekends seem to pass by so quickly in our high-paced lives. Maybe it’s time to try a midweek vacation!!

What is a Midweek Vacation?

A Midweek Vacation is… a vacation in the middle of your work week! Your work week will feel much shorter when you know that you have a break coming up later in the week! But that doesn’t mean the midweek vacation has to be in the exact middle of the week. You can take a midweek break any time during your work week, including Monday.

Especially Monday.

Why take a Midweek Vacation?

Because you deserve to put yourself first! Put those vacation days to good use and give yourself a chance to recharge. When you come back, you can feel revitalized and more productive.  Besides, everyone needs chance to break up the routine. With a midweek vacation, you can treat yourself and still save your weekend!

It’s a win, win!

Who should I take on my Midweek Vacation?

You can bring anyone you think could use a break from their routine. Perhaps you and your significant other need a chance to recharge together. Or perhaps you want to get the old crew back together for old times’ sake. Maybe you and the family need to spend some quality time together. In any case, invite your friends, your family, or whoever else you think would have fun unwinding with you. The choice is yours!

Where should I take a Midweek Vacation?

Well I’m a bit biased, but Ravenwood Castle of course! Our twenty-one-room country inn is the perfect place for your getaway. Located in the scenic Hocking Hills, we can’t think of a better place to start your midweek adventure!

Another great thing about booking a midweek vacation is that you avoid weekend crowds. It will be easier to get tickets for your favorite attraction; you’ll have more peace and quiet on the trails; and you are more likely to find availability at your favorite hotel, bed and breakfast, or castle! At Ravenwood Castle for instance, summer weekends are often booked up months in advance. Because there is more availability during the week, you have a better chance of not only getting a room, but getting the special room you want! Do you have dreams of staying in one of our most popular accommodations such as the Duke’s Dungeon or King Arthur’s Suite? Book during the week for a better chance!

When should I book my Midweek Vacation?

Well now, of course! So what are you waiting for? Book your Midweek Vacation today!

Trust me, you’ll be glad you did!
