Curse of von Ravenwood – Nov 10th & 11th

Every year the nice Mr. Denham from the Shadow Stalkers and I delight in dreaming up new settings and themes with which to challenge the detectives of the Ravenwood Detective Agency. Perhaps our favorite fiendish plot is the Choose Your Own Adventure contest, wherein we trick you into devising the means of your own torment!

This year’s Choose Your Own Adventure entrants came up with an impressive list of possibilities. At the end of the voting one thing was clear, our finalist sucks… blood, that is…

Ravenwood Castle has a secret. Behind the façade of a quite country inn lurks a terrible truth. The literature claims that Ravenwood was built in the 1990s as an upscale vacation destination. What the brochures leave out is that the inn was built on the ruins of a much, much older castle.

Little is known of the original castle. Nobody is quite sure who built it, or when. An eccentric local historian recently published an article theorizing that the castle was constructed by the long lost Count von Ravenwood, a minor Eastern European noble who mysteriously disappeared in the mid seventeenth century. The article was laughed out of all reputable academic publications. Locals soon forgot the whole incident.

But then they started to arrive.

These were not your ordinary tourists. Arriving alone, in pairs or small groups, these mysterious travelers shared some curious commonalities: the faint whiff of garlic, an affinity for sharpened stakes, and an unhealthy interest in the local cemeteries. To a one, they all asked about the castle, the article… and von Ravenwood.

Could there be something to the crazy theory? Could the long lost von Ravenwood really have built a castle in central Ohio? And what’s up with all the garlic?

Join the Ravenwood Detective Agency November 10th & 11th for the Curse of von Ravenwood to answer these questions and more!

Tickets for Curse of von Ravenwood are $100, and include Saturday night’s dinner. As with all of our mysteries, the event starts with dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.
