The Bigfoot Files – Sept 7th & 8th

Summer is in full swing, and we have arrived at my personal favorite time of the year – Murder Mystery Announcement Season! Believe it or not the beginning of the Ravenwood Detective Agency’s 2018-2019 season is just around the corner, and we’re kicking things off right, with an entirely new theme!

In the last few years Ravenwood Castle has been plagued with repeated assaults by undead hordes. The zombies always seem to arrive in the early autumn, as if lured by the first bite of chill in the air. This year, the castle staff have taken preventative measures and have hired a team of mercenaries to scour the surrounding area and eliminate any encroaching undead – before they become an issue.

Surprisingly, the scouts have turned up little in the way of undead activity near the castle. Following the few signs they did find always ended the same – with the trail simply going cold. It’s as if the zombies were simply disappearing, one by one.

On their final scouting mission the team pushed further afield than before, reaching as far as the nearby experimental forest. The trail they were following ended in a grisly discovery, an old pile of remains – apparently all that was left of a zombie – which appeared to have been torn limb from limb.

While the team was in the forest they reported hearing strange sounds, feeling as if they were being watched, and occasionally catching a fleeting glimpse of… something… out of the corner of their eyes. On returning to the castle, the team leader even insists that something followed them back from the deep woods. Lacking any proof and unable – or unwilling – to say what might be out there, he set out to walk the castle perimeter and investigate. That was three days ago, and he’s not been seen since.

Are the zombies not returning to Ravenwood this year? Or is something hunting those that do? Is the mysterious presence a benefactor, or more sinister than the zombies?  Has the scout captain fallen victim to undead, the mysterious hunter, or more mundane foul play?

Veterans and novices alike are invited to join us September 7th & 8th to answer these questions and more in the first mystery in the 2018-2019 Murder Mystery season, the Bigfoot Files!

Tickets for the Bigfoot Files are $100, and include Saturday night’s dinner. As with all of our mysteries, the event starts with dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.

And stay tuned for more announcements about our exciting 2018-2019 mystery season!
