Room Spotlight – Drawing Room Unveiled!

Way back in October we asked for your help renaming the gathering room on the ground floor of Cinderella’s Coach House, formerly known as the Tea Room. As always when we ask you for assistance, we received a lot of great suggestions. We ultimately decided to keep the name simple, classic, and applicable to all of the various types of events we will be hosting in the space…

We are proud to present to you the Drawing Room at Ravenwood Castle!

Drawing Room - Interior

Drawing Rooms were found in grand houses and palaces and were typically a somewhat less formal space than a dining room or Great Hall. Guests at parties and other gatherings would often retire to the Drawing Room for after dinner drinks and conversation. This is actually how the room got its name – the party would “withdraw” from the formal dinner space to an adjacent room to continue the evening.

Our Drawing Room has been outfitted with all new tables and chairs, which provide a variety of configurations for gaming, dining, and conversation. An updated wall color and a brand new floor finish set the stage for an elegant, customizable space for our guests. We just love the swirls of grey and silver in that new floor!

Drawing Room - Renovation-Interior-1

The Drawing Room is now available to be booked for corporate meetings, gaming sessions, and for our NEW Storybook Wedding package! The room will also see use during our various special events such as Murder Mystery Weekends, Con in the Castle, and Hoop & Stick Con 2020.

Drawing Room - Heart Garden

The next time you visit us at Ravenwood Castle, be sure to check out the new Drawing Room and the attached outdoor garden/sitting area. We’re sure you’ll like the upgrades as much as we do!
