Quoth The Raven

Room Spotlight – Woodcutter’s Cottage

Room Spotlight – Woodcutter’s Cottage

Every accommodation we have at Ravenwood Castle is unique in its own way – whether it be the interior décor, amenities, or layout, there is something special about each room we offer. This week on Quoth the Raven, we are spotlighting the Woodcutter’s Cottage located in the Medieval Village. This cottage is all on one floor, which makes for easy accessibility.

One of the highlights of the Woodcutter’s Cottage is its king size bed with custom-made headboard. With a bed like this, you are bound to get a great night’s sleep. The high ceilings feature crisscrossed salvaged wooden beams, which adds to the charm of the spacious room. If you look around, the walls are adorned with nature photographs taken right here in Southeastern Ohio.

There is a private back deck that overlooks the woods which is perfect for enjoying your morning cup of coffee (yes, the room comes with a coffee maker!) or for stargazing after a night of game playing in the Raven’s Roost Pub. Woodcutter’s also features a double whirlpool tub with shower which makes for an even cozier stay.

If the weather isn’t in your favor and you feel like staying in for the day, make sure to grab a DVD from our library downstairs and hangout in your room while watching a film and reconnecting. There is a gas fireplace that is disguised as an old wood-burning stove located near the couch in the corner of the room – and this is bound to be your best friend on those blustery winter nights!

With every booking at the Castle there is a complimentary breakfast buffet served every morning from 8:30 – 10:00 AM in the Great Hall. If you’re hungry, make sure to grab lunch at the Pub or somewhere offsite if you’re looking for some adventure. Leftovers? No problem! Woodcutter’s Cottage comes equip with a mini fridge, microwave, and assortment of tableware.

Regardless of why you came to Ravenwood – romantic escape, family trip, or a hiking trip with friends – the Woodcutter’s Cottage is worth adding to your list of must-stays!
