Room Spotlight – Spinster’s Cottage

As you exit the main Castle doors and head across the drawbridge, one of the first Medieval Village cottages you’ll spot is this week’s room spotlight: Spinster’s Cottage! Located just a short walk away from the Castle itself, Spinster’s can sleep up to four guests and is sure to provide you with a getaway you will never forget.

From the outside, Spinster’s is a quintessential English cottage. There is a small porch with a sitting area that is ideal for early morning coffee, an outdoor breakfast feast, or even just for a breath of fresh air and a good book. Perhaps while you are enjoying the sights and sounds of the surrounding forest, you’ll see a Castle cat or two meander by.

Don’t worry – the charming interior is just as magical as the outside of the cottage. Upon entering you will find a quaint sitting area, small kitchenette, fireplace, and futon for additional guests. The fireplace is perfect to cozy up next to after a long day of adventuring whether it be for a glass of wine or a game of Catan. At Ravenwood we have a board game library of 100+ titles that are accessible to overnight guests and we encourage everyone to take a game or two back to their room!

The first floor is also home to a spacious bathroom with gorgeous stained-glass windows – complete with a two-person whirlpool tub and shower!

Upstairs you’ll find a queen size bed that is a perfect space to unwind from a long day of hiking in Hocking Hills. No matter how you spend your time at Ravenwood, if you’re staying in Spinster’s Cottage, you’re sure to fall in love with its charm and coziness.
