Room Spotlight: Silversmith’s House

Ravenwood Castle has 21 unique accommodations each with their own handpicked décor and furnishings, making each room you stay in a new and exciting experience. Between our Castle rooms, Medieval Village, and Huntsman’s Hollow, it’s hard to say which is the most popular! However one of our most iconic and easily recognized accommodations is the Silversmith’s House near the back of the Medieval Village. Its alluring color scheme and conical roofs can catch the eye of anyone who may be passing by – and for good reason! Being the largest accommodation at Ravenwood, the Silversmith’s House is sure to impress.

Upon entering you will walk straight into a spacious common area that is home to a large futon and a sitting area with two oversized chairs near a gas fireplace. Atop the fireplace you will find a DVD player and TV ideal for movies after a long day of adventuring in Hocking Hills. Ravenwood has not only a board game library of 100+ for guests to borrow, but a library of books and DVDs as well in the lower level of the Castle.

Further into the room there is a large dining table and kitchenette complete with mini-fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and basic cutlery and flatware. The large one-basin sink is directly across from the half bath downstairs as well as right outside the private bedroom on the first floor. The private circular bedroom has a queen size bed, two nightstands, a large mirror, and unique stained-glass windows.  Whether you’re planning to play a few rounds of Catan or devour some Excaliburgers from the Pub, you’ll have ample room to do so in the Silversmith’s House.

Upstairs you enter into an open bedroom with a king size bed. The higher ceilings make this room feel even larger than it is! There are two oversized loveseats for additional seating and an antique wooden dresser for even more clothing storage if the closet upstairs isn’t enough. As you head further in, you’ll find the gem of the Silversmith’s House: the massive upstairs bathroom complete with a standing shower, vanity, and heart-shaped jacuzzi tub.

The large back deck off the first floor has seating for up to six guests and overlooks the woods. Whether the sun is rising or setting, and whether you’re drinking coffee or a craft beer, there is never a bad time to enjoy a few hours enjoying the fresh air on the deck. In fact, the Silversmith’s House features not one deck, but two! In addition to the main deck, there is a small deck on the second floor off of the bedroom.

It’s easy to fall in love with the Silversmith’s House, for these reasons and more. We can’t wait to hear the reasons why you love it too. Whether you’re looking for a place to post up with your family or on the hunt to stay somewhere that exudes romance, our Silversmith’s House is the place for you.  Book a stay with us in 2021 and give yourself the break you deserve!
