Death by Shrubbery – April 14th & 15th!

Although the holidays are behind us, we here at Ravenwood Castle have one final gift to offer – another murder mystery weekend! This will be the last mystery of the 2022-2023 season, and as all previously announced mysteries are sold out this is your last opportunity to get your sleuth on until next season! We’ve spent most of this season revisiting some of our favorite themes, but we wanted to make sure we sent our detectives into at least one new setting this year. So in this final mystery of the season, Chief Detectives Michelle and Ryan will be leading the Ravenwood Detective Agency in a search for the Holy Grail, or at least an investigation of the murder of someone searching for the Holy Grail. Either way, our detectives will be tackling Death by Shrubbery…

The sound of horses’ hooves floated over the castle, and a faint whiff of elderberries wafted on the breeze. It was funny what you noticed at a time like this thought the castle gardener, as he gazed upon the body he had just discovered at the entrance to the hedge maze. For instance, he could have sworn he’d seen a rather odd rabbit with big, pointy teeth scurry into the maze at his approach; and were those coconut shells at the edge of the walk?

What an awful time for a murder, he thought, what with the gathering of English knights arriving this very day. Why the infamous Black Knight was already on site, and who knew what he would make of this grisly scene. Not to mention the eccentric old enchanter who had arrived just the previous day.

Who was this unnamed corpse? Who had murdered the unfortunate gentleman? And just what exactly was the airspeed of an unladen swallow?

The Ravenwood Detective Agency is calling all agents, knights, and enchanters to answer these questions three. So grab your Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch and your fastest coconuts, and join us April 14th & 15th for Death by Shrubbery!

Tickets for Death by Shrubbery are $75. Please note that in a change from our previous mystery events, dinner Saturday is no longer required for all attendees, and has been removed from the package price. As with all of our mysteries, the event starts after dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.

And stay tuned for more announcements about our exciting 2022-2023 event season!

If you haven’t been to one of our mystery weekends and are wondering what they are all about, check out our Anatomy of  a Murder Mystery page for all of the details. And stay tuned here at Quoth the Raven to hear about the rest of the great mysteries we have planned for this season!
