The Haunting of Ivar Ravenson – Sept 15th & 16th!

The 2023-2024 Murder Mystery season is rapidly approaching, and I can’t overstate how excited we all are for the upcoming batch of mysteries! While our detectives will certainly revisit some of our favorite settings this season, we are looking forward to launching a few new favorite themes as well. Today’s announcement is one such debut, as Chief Detectives Michelle and Ryan will be leading our detectives in a Viking themed mystery! Please join us as the Ravenwood Detective Agency tackles The Haunting of Ivar Ravenson…

Everyone knows that the Vikings were great explorers, with evidence that they made it as far as North America hundreds of years before Columbus famously sailed the ocean blue. There is little evidence that they took up significant residence in North America though, at least until now. A noted – if somewhat eccentric – archeologist has made recent discoveries which he claims prove the Vikings made it hundreds of miles inland, and even established an outpost in central Ohio.

A group of archeologists, historians, and academics have gathered at Ravenwood Castle – a site the archaeologist claims was founded by the Viking explorer Ivar Ravenson – to witness the unveiling of these supposed discoveries. Most expect to quickly disprove the eccentric’s absurd theory and get down to enjoying a peaceful weekend retreat.

Shortly before the scheduled presentation, the tranquil atmosphere is shattered as a scream echoes through the halls. Rushing to investigate, the guests discover the lifeless body of none other than their host, lying in a pool of blood on the cold stone floor. Next to him on the floor lies what is unmistakably a Viking hand axe, emblazoned with the likeness of a raven – the symbol of Ivar Ravenson.

The guests quickly realize they are trapped in a secluded castle with a killer on the loose. Suspicions and tensions ran high, as the murderer could be anyone. Was the archeologist killed to silence him? Could there be something to his crazy theory?

The Ravenwood Detective Agency is calling all agents, novice and veteran alike, to answer these questions and more. Join us September 15th & 16th for the Haunting of Ivar Ravenson!

Tickets for the Haunting of Ivar Ravenson are $100. As with all of our mysteries, the event starts after dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.

And stay tuned for more announcements about our exciting 2023-2024 event season!
