The end of the year is fast approaching, and with it the mid-point for our 2023-2024 event season. It’s hard to believe that we only have a few mysteries left to announce for this season. What’s even harder to believe is that it has been four years since our detectives tackled the theme of today’s mystery announcement, one of our perennial favorites and once one of our most frequent settings. That’s right, today’s announcement heralds the much anticipated return of our zombie themed mysteries! Please join us as Chief Detectives Michelle and Ryan and the Ravenwood Detective Agency take on the Case of the Deadly Defrost…

In the quiet tranquility of early spring, when the earth begins to shed its winter frost, a chilling mystery unfolds on the grounds of the ancient Ravenwood Castle. Nestled atop a mist-shrouded hill, the castle stands as a silent witness to centuries of secrets and whispered tales. As the last vestiges of snow melt away, revealing the thawing ground beneath, an unexpected and macabre phenomenon grips the castle grounds.

The air carries a peculiar tension, and the residents of Ravenwood Castle find themselves entangled in a web of eerie occurrences. The thawing graves surrounding the castle seem to harbor more than just the remnants of the deceased. Emerging from the cold embrace of the earth, an inexplicable horror takes shape — zombies, their vacant eyes staring into the distance, their gaunt deathly faces an unsettling contrast to the rebirth of spring.

Amidst the budding flowers and the promise of new life, an ominous shadow looms over Ravenwood Castle. The once-stately halls echo with the whispers of a bygone era, and the inhabitants, now gripped by fear, must unravel the mystery that connects the thawing graves to the unsettling rise of the undead. As the temperature rises, so does the urgency to decipher the cryptic clues before the castle succumbs to a fate more sinister than the icy grip of winter. Welcome to Ravenwood Castle, where the emergence of zombies heralds a mystery that will test the limits of courage and unravel a tale that time itself had tried to bury.

The Ravenwood Detective Agency is calling all agents, novice and veteran alike, to join us March 15^th & 16^th to tackle the Case of the Deadly Defrost!

Tickets for the Case of the Deadly Defrost are $100. As with all of our mysteries, the event starts after dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.
