Evening Bonfires
Unwind under the stars at the firepit between Baker’s and Brewer’s or down on the swinging benches in the Huntsman’s Hollow. A warm summer night with good conversation, a glass of your drink of choice, and great company is hard to beat.

Raven’s Roost Pub
Whatever you’re in the mood for, we have it at the Raven’s Roost Pub. Our rotating spirits selection, cocktail menu, and craft beer options offer something for every taste. For our non-alcoholic guests, our craft sodas and Castle Butterbeers are popular. Don’t forget your morning mimosa!

Scavenger Hunts
Get to know the Castle and grounds with one, or all, of our onsite scavenger hunts! These self-guided adventures are available for overnight guests in the office during staffed hours. With our convenient location near Hocking Hills, there are some amazing events just a short drive away. Here are a few you should check out:

Nelsonville Music Festival (June 20th–22nd)
The Nelsonville Music Festival features 40+ musical acts and shines the spotlight on local art and food vendors. Set in the beautiful rolling hills of Southeast Ohio, the 19th annual Nelsonville Music Festival will take place June 20–22, 2025 at Snow Fork Event Center. It’s the perfect way to kick off summer!

Annual Tube-A-Rama (June 20th–22nd)
Looking for something a little more adventurous? Enjoy a relaxing 3-mile float down the scenic Hocking River! Just don’t forget the sunscreen! Adventure Pro Outdoors is hosting the 7th annual Tube-A-Rama! The float lasts anywhere from 2-5 hours depending on river conditions and your group. Lilyfest (July 11th–13th)
Held in the beautiful Bishop Educational Gardens, Lilyfest is a celebration of the beauty of nature, local food, handmade art, and live music. Lilyfest will feature 60+ artists and craftspeople and three acres of artistically designed gardens, ponds, and garden sculptures.

Hocking Hills Bigfoot Festival (August 7th–10th)
If you love folklore or just want a good excuse to wear your favorite Sasquatch shirt, don’t miss the Hocking Hills Bigfoot Festival! This 4-day, family-friendly fest will be held at the Vinton County Fairgrounds in McArthur, Ohio! Squatch ‘N Seek, an All Terrain Show, Bigfoot Beard Competition, and more await.

Hippie Fest (August 9th–10th)
Hippie Fest is a family-friendly music & arts festival for all ages. The event features tribute bands, acres of vendor booths, car show, delicious food, DIY tie-dye, sideshow performers, and more. Hippie Fest also features hundreds of vendors offering an endless array of bohemian goodies!

Hocking Hills Medieval Fest (August 23rd & 24th)
Don’t miss the Hocking Hills Medieval Fest at the Hocking County Fairgrounds this August! Travel back to a simpler time filled with armored combat fights, Viking folk songs, and medieval wares for all!
