Hoop & Stick Con 2019 – Sponsors & Donors

Here at Ravenwood Castle we are less than a month away from our annual charity convention, Hoop & Stick Con, and we are getting excited! This four-day gaming event is all about a shared love of gaming and helping others in need. Over the previous six years we have raised over $50,000 for Extra Life Charities and local children’s hospitals.

We wanted to take a moment to shout out to some of the companies who have provided support for this year’s event. We have a new General Sponsor this year in Pandemonium Games! In addition to sponsoring the event, Pandemonium will have a Storyteller on site all weekend with several chances for our guests to experience their large group social deduction game, Blood on the Clocktower.

Along with donating a portion of all ticket prices and room reservations to our fundraising, Hoop & Stick Con also includes a silent auction. The auction is filled with generous donations from our partners and friends in the local community and the gaming community at large. The following companies have provided us with games and other goodies to include in our charity auction: Atlas Games, Slugfest Games, Thames & Kosmos, Gamelyn Games, Calliope Games, Iello Games, Rogue Ales & Spirits, Blue Valley Massage, Fear’s Confections, and Amaize Gourmet Popcorn.  We couldn’t have reached our goals without the support and open hearts of these great companies!

Tickets for Hoop & Stick Con 2019 are sold out and we will have a full house at the Castle, but you can help with the fundraising efforts by making a direct donation through our fundraising portal to Extra Life, benefiting Akron Children’s Hospital.

If you want to get in on the fun as well as help with raising funds for children’s hospitals, stop by our sister business The Malted Meeple in Hudson, OH throughout the week leading up to Hoop & Stick Con (Feb 18th to 23rd). The Meeple will be bringing back the #ForTheKids milkshake with 50% of the proceeds going to our fundraising efforts. They will also be featuring a used game sale for Extra Life, and donating a portion of every ticket sold for their brand new escape room experiences!
