CONTEST – Rename the Tea Room!

Over the past six years we’ve completed some pretty significant renovations and additions here at Ravenwood Castle. From redesigned common areas to brand new cottages and cabins, the team has been hard at work on project after project. Yet somehow in all of that activity one of our favorite spots kept slipping to the back burner. I am of course speaking of the venerable Tea Room.

Located on the first floor of the Cinderella’s Coach House, this separate-yet-attached space has served many roles over the years. As its name suggests, the Tea Room first saw service as a cozy spot to enjoy an afternoon beverage and a light snack. With the renovation of the Raven’s Roost Pub several years ago, the Tea Room ceased active food service operations. In the years since it has seen use as a staging ground for events, a gathering spot for meetings, and perhaps most frequently as a game room during our conventions.

The time has finally come for the Tea Room to receive the renovations it richly deserves. We’ll be upgrading the space and outfitting it to better match its use as a gathering space for special events, meetings and even weddings!

While we are busy choosing paint, flooring and finishes, we’d love your help in choosing the new name for the redesigned space. Put your creativity and knowledge of medieval life to use, and you may win a free stay at Ravenwood Castle!

Stay tuned to our Facebook and your inbox for progress on this project. We can’t wait to reveal the new space and its new name!
