Activity Spotlight – Antique Mall Afternoon

Ravenwood Castle is a short drive from a variety of nearby attractions in cities like Logan and McArthur. While there is a seemingly endless list of activities, this week on Quoth the Raven we are going to spotlight a local favorite: The Logan Antique Mall! Whether you are with your significant other, friends, or family, this is a perfect place to adventure if you want to get off Castle grounds for a while and make an afternoon out of it.

The Logan Antique Mall is approximately a 30-minute drive from the Castle and has a large parking lot out front where you will be able to see the many different shops and restaurants that surround it. The Logan Antique Mall is full of interesting treasures and memorabilia from years past – and visitors love the friendliness of the staff.  Vendors are separated by booths and you can expect to see everything from comic books to old soda bottles and even musical instruments.

Right by the antique mall is Adventure Golf at Rempel’s Grove that boasts a family-friendly petting zoo and an 18-hole mini-golf course. The cost is only $6.50 per adult, $5.50 per child 6-12, and free per child age 5 and under. Adventure Golf is sure to be fun for the “hole” family!

After making the journey through the twists and turns of the antique mall and playing a round of mini golf, you have probably worked up some appetite. Luckily, The Olde Dutch Restaurant is within walking distance.  They offer “All You Care To Eat” buffets for both lunch and dinner every day of the week. Some of their most popular dishes are the ham loaf (locally fresh ground ham & pork baked with crushed pineapple & honey) and their baked roast beef, slow roasted in the Amish Tradition.

Or if your sweet tooth gets the best of you, swing by Treehouse Treats and Treasures on your trek back to the Castle. Specializing in delicious Homemade brand ice cream, creamy soft serve, BYO banana splits, sundaes, and shakes, you will find something for everyone. On top of all the frozen treats, you will find local handmade Hocking Hills Chocolates, taffy, candy sticks, and even an assortment of Hocking Hills souvenirs like t-shirts, mugs, and more!
