The 2026-2027 murder mystery season is gaining steam, with more than half of this season’s mysteries already announced and booking! This week I’m excited to announce the next event, a mystery with a new (for us) setting… Mardi Gras! Please join Chief Detectives Michelle and Ryan as they lead the Ravenwood Detective Agency through the Bourbon Street Betrayal…

A busload of revelers was returning from visiting New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras. After a wild weekend of beads, masks, celebrations and secrets, the weary party goers were eager to get home to their regular lives when disaster struck – their bus suddenly broke down. Finding themselves stranded deep in the woods of southern Ohio, the travelers sought refuge in the nearest accommodation, the mysterious Ravenwood Castle. Never ones to let an opportunity pass by, the group settled in for an unexpected continuation of their Mardi Gras festivity.

The party spirit quickly faded when one of the group’s organizers was found dead in their room the next morning, resplendent in her masquerade mask and beads. Grief quickly turned to suspicion when no cause of death could be found. After all, perfectly healthy people don’t tend to dress in their party finest and drop dead for no reason. Whispers and accusations quickly spread, along with unanswered questions.

Was this simply a tragic death of natural causes, or was their foul play afoot? Had one of the travelers not wanted a secret to make it home from Mardi Gras? Was the bus breakdown really an accident, or had this been planned all along?

The Ravenwood Detective Agency is calling all agents, veteran and novice alike, to answer these questions and more. Join us January 29^th & 30^th for the Bourbon Street Betrayal!

Tickets for the Bourbon Street Betrayal are $100. The event starts after dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.

If you haven’t been to one of our mystery weekends and are wondering what they are all about, check out our Anatomy of a Murder Mystery page for all of the details. And stay tuned here at Quoth the Raven to hear about the rest of the great mysteries we have planned for this season!
