Room Spotlight – Merchant’s Cottage

It is time again for a Room Spotlight! Here at Ravenwood Castle we have 21 unique accommodations with varying amenities. Between the Huntsman’s Hollow, Medieval Village, or staying in the Castle itself, guests love being able to have a different experience at Ravenwood each time they visit. While the room you’re staying in might vary, a home away from home experience will always be our goal. This week on Quoth the Raven we are spotlighting one of our Medieval Village accommodations: Merchant’s Cottage!

The Merchant’s Cottage is a hop, skip, and jump away from the main Castle doors. Similar to how medieval merchants used to live above their shop, if you stay in Merchant’s, you will find that it is located on the upper two levels of the building. It features a queen-sized bed next to a kitchenette complete with basic flatware, a microwave, and mini-fridge. On the other side of the bed, you’ll find an antique brass fireplace – perfect to cozy up next to as the cool weather starts to roll in.

Upstairs you’ll find a loft sitting room which doubles perfectly as a gaming station if you’re feeling competitive. We have a board game library of 150+ games for guests to choose from during their stay that they are welcome to take back and play in their room. Merchant’s also features a jacuzzi bathtub and shower.

Whether you choose to adventure our on-site hiking trails and come back and hit the hay or instead grab a late night pint at the Pub and stargaze on your second story deck, your stay in Merchant’s will be one for the books.
