Beer Tasting Weekend – July 10th & 11th

I am pleased to announce the next in our series of Beer Tasting Weekends, to be held July 10th and 11th. Like all of our tasting events, this is no ordinary beer tasting dinner. This event spans two full days of good food and great beer, starring two great breweries.

Dinner Friday night features the debut of Brewery Ommegang out of Cooperstown New York. Ommegang has been represented at Ravenwood the last several years during our annual Ice & Fire Convention, as Ommegang produces the Game of Throne line of specialty beers. Lydia Johnson from the Ommegang’s parent company Duvel will be joining us to discuss their beer lineup, and will be sharing Rare Vos, Hop House, Hennepin Saison and Three Philosophers with us.

Saturday’s dinner will feature another Duvel brewery, Boulevard Brewing Co out of Kansas City. Boulevard is a relatively new brewery to Ravenwood. Our first introduction of Boulevard beers to our lineup was with their 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat, a delightfully distinctive ale with the aroma of an IPA and the refreshing taste of a wheat beer. We will be sampling Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale, The Calling IPA, Unfiltered Wheat and Hibiscus Gose with our meal.

As has become traditional in our beer tasting events, we will have an informal tasting Saturday at noon. As our featured breweries are from outside of Ohio, Saturday’s lunch tasting will focus on some of our favorite Ohio beers from the Raven’s Roost menu.

Please join us July 10th and 11th for a weekend of great craft brews! Tickets are $75 per person and include dinner Friday and Saturday nights, and samplings of at least a dozen beers throughout the weekend. Click the “Reservation” button at the top of this page or call (740) 596-2606 to book your room now!

Please note that the event starts with dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.
