Death at the Disco – Sept 18th & 19th!
The team here at Ravenwood Castle always enjoys the process of choosing the themes for our murder mysteries. Every year we come up with a huge variety of options, as do our Chief Detectives from Moonlight Murders, and then we jointly wean the list down to a handful of themes to cover our ten mysteries each season. There’s always a few themes which we’re particularly excited about, but I don’t recall any from recent years which grabbed every single participant in the process quite this thoroughly. We’re thrilled to announce the first mystery in this series, and ask you to join Chief Detectives Michelle and Ryan as they lead the Ravenwood Detective Agency in Death at the Disco…
Ravenwood Castle is known for its many and varied events. The team works hard each year to come up with new and exciting activities. This year was no exception, and the event planners were looking forward to rolling out a series of weekends celebrating pop culture throughout the last fifty years. First up was this weekend’s lavish event paying homage to the 70’s.
Polyester leisure suits and bell bottoms abounded as the guests arrived and prepared for the first evening’s Disco Dance party. The disco ball flashed across the Great Hall and everyone was having a blast. After all, who doesn’t enjoy a bit of nostalgia?
Well, probably the corpse in the center of the dance floor for one.
Nobody knew exactly when the body dropped or what caused it to fall. The DJ was playing a groovy rendition of Stayin’ Alive, and this dancer had apparently… not.
A circle of empty space spread around the body nearly as fast as the gasps and whispered rumors spread throughout the hall. The good vibes had definitely been mellowed.
Was this simply a tragic and poorly timed accident, or was something sinister afoot? The Ravenwood Detective Agency is requesting that all agents don their bell bottoms and platform shoes and join us September 18th & 19th for Death at the Disco!
Tickets for Death at the Disco are $100. As with all of our mysteries, the event starts after dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.
If you haven’t been to one of our mystery weekends and are wondering what they are all about, check out our Anatomy of a Murder Mystery page for all of the details. And stay tuned here at Quoth the Raven to hear about the rest of the great mysteries we have planned for this season!
