Hoop & Stick Con 2020!

Though we only recently wrapped up our annual summer gaming convention, Con in the Castle, our event team is already hard at work planning our next convention, the eighth annual Hoop & Stick Con!

Hoop & Stick Con 2020 will be held Thursday February 27th through Sunday March 1st, 2020. As I say every year, Hoop & Stick is four days of gaming goodness, in a castle, for charity – it really doesn’t get any better!

Mike and the crew from Ohio Pathfinder Society will be joining us again this year to run numerous sessions of Pathfinder, Starfinder, and Pathfinder Adventure Card Game. We will also be joined by a few guest Dungeon Meeples from The Malted Meeple. These game masters will be running sessions of Dungeons and Dragons and a variety of other systems. We intend to send out surveys once the registration process is complete, in order to gauge what types of role playing sessions you would like to see offered this year.

And of course Hoop & Stick Con is about more than just role playing games. There will be plenty of board gaming as well. The castle’s board game library will be available for play and the Great Hall will be largely dedicated to open board gaming. We have also received feedback that you would like to see additional scheduled board game sessions, and we are putting some plans in place to that end. Stay tuned for details!

At last year’s Hoop & Stick Con, we raised over $12,000 for Extra Life and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, bringing our seven year total to over $61,000! We intend to set our sights even higher this year, and hope to continue exceeding our previous fundraising milestones. To succeed we are going to need your help. If you or someone you know would like to sponsor Hoop & Stick Con 2020, please contact me directly at hoopandstick@ravenwoodcastle.com

Every year the available rooms for Hoop & Stick Con fill up extremely quickly, and as a reward for long time attendees, we offer our convention alumni a brief preregistration window. As a result we have an extremely limited number of rooms left available at the time of this announcement. If you would like to join us for Hoop & Stick Con 2020, act fast! You can book online, or give us a call at 740.596.2606, we’d be glad to help.

Thank you again for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you at the eighth annual Hoop & Stick!
