The Mad Professor’s Halloweekend – Oct 30th & 31st!

Summer is well underway, but here at Ravenwood Castle we have our eye on the Autumn event season. And along with murder mysteries, Autumn brings one of our most anticipated events of the year – The Mad Professor’s Halloweekend!

As always, Mad Professor von Gerd will be hosting the event. Guests will have the opportunity to win prizes, medals and more as they participate in party games and social events. This event often sells out quickly, so reserve your spot soon so you and your friends don’t miss the opportunity to win this year’s trophy as the “Deathly Deal” team champions!

The Mad Professor tweaks the lineup a bit every year, but the typical agenda will include:

Deathly Deals begins! Upon your arrival at Ravenwood Castle, you will receive a package filled with several forms of “carrion currency” and a single hint as to which currency is worth the most points. Earn more currency by participating in the weekend events, and spend your currency on more hints. Turn in the correct amount and type of currency on Sunday morning and you may take home the Deathly Deals Champion Trophy!

Werewolf will be the featured Friday evening activity. Can you discover which of your fellow guests are actually werewolves before they make you their next meal?

Witches’ Curses will also be played Friday evening. Guests will begin with a unique curse, a word they are forbidden to say. Trick someone into saying their forbidden word and their curse gets transferred to you. Why would you want that? Because this is a wicked weekend, remember? The guest with the most curses at the end of the evening wins the favor of the witches!

Costume Contest! Saturday evening is when we celebrate the main event and the original cosplay party: Halloween! Win an official medal for coming out on top in one of the following categories:

  • Funniest
  • Scariest
  • Best Presentation
  • Best Couple -or- Group
  • Most Original

Zombie Teeth is kind of like social tag meets rock-paper-scissors. Some guests have been infected with the zombie virus. All players want to spread their own faction’s curse! If you convert a guest to your faction, you get all of their zombie teeth! The player with the most zombie teeth at the end of the evening wins!

Two Rooms and a Boo! Is anyone at this event actually human?!? In this Halloween themed version of Two Rooms and a Boom, half of the guests are ghosts trying to protect the castle from ghost hunters. Guests are split into two different rooms, and at the end of timed rounds, a few selected guests trade rooms. At the end of the last round, if the ghost hunter’s trap is in the same room as the Royal Ghost, ghost hunters win. Otherwise, the ghosts win.

Murder Party! Bernard Billionaire invites you to join other guests at his lavish mansion as he announces who will inherit his vast fortune. BUT WAIT! Someone just murdered Bernard, and it was one of the guests (maybe even you). Can you figure out who the murderer is while avoiding getting murdered yourself? Get murdered and become a ghost. Murder Party plays like a live action version of clue where you and the other guests are all suspects. Solve the crime while having investigative conversations before it’s too late!

Cookie Monster Contest! Throughout Saturday afternoon and evening, decorate monster cookies and see if you can create the best monster of them all!

Fishbowl Friendzy, Monster Edition! Professor von Gerd brings guests together with his variant of the classic game of Celebrities. Participating guests must cooperate with one another against the clock. Can you get your team mates to guess what monster is on your card?

The Annual Spider Hunt! All guests are released into the wild to find as many of the Professor’s giant pet spiders as they can. If you find more spiders than your fellow guests, you move even closer to earning the Deathly Deals champion trophy!

Closing Ceremony. You spent all weekend earning carrion currency by participating in fun activities. Now it is time to wake up, get some delicious sticky buns breakfast, and get together with your teammates to turn in the best carrion currency to win Deathly Deals. Go home a champion with the Deatlhy Deals Champion Trophy!

Join us the weekend of October 30th and 31st for a one of a kind Halloween celebration!

Tickets for The Mad Professor’s Halloweekend are $100. As a reminder, this weekend is primarily designed for adults, although children over 16 are welcome.

The Mad Professor’s Halloweekend is presented by Tuesday Knight Games, publisher of many great games, including Two Rooms and a Boom, That’s Not Lemonade!, and the Mothership Sci-Fi Horror RPG.
