I am excited to announce the next installment in our popular series of Beer Tasting Weekends! For those of you who are not familiar with our Beer Tasting Weekends, they aren’t your normal beer tasting dinner. These tastings last all weekend long, and include two days full of good food, great beer and awesome breweries! This next tasting event will be held December 1st & 2nd, 2023, and spotlights Founders Brewery out of Michigan and BrewDog Brewery from here in Ohio.
Friday’s dinner features the return of perennial favorite Founders Brewery. We will be joined by Baker Blanding from Founders, who will share some of their amazing lineup with us. Friday evening will begin with smoked chicken wings in buffalo sauce with blue cheese paired with Centennial IPA; spinach salad, toasted almonds, dried cranberries and goat cheese with raspberry vinaigrette paired with Rubeaus; smoked brisket, garlic mashed potatoes and maple glazed carrots paired with Backwoods Bastard; and apple crisp with whipped cream paired with All Day Haze. As a special after dinner treat, we will be enjoying the 2020 barreling of Kentucky Breakfast Stout.
Saturday’s dinner features the Ravenwood Castle debut of BrewDog. Erika Wojno from BrewDog will be on hand to share some of their creations with us. Saturday will begin with a before dinner welcome drink of Overworks Raspberry. Dinner itself begins with spinach and artichoke dip with wood fired flatbreads paired with Punk IPA; hearts of romaine salad with Caesar dressing with parmesan cheese & croutons paired with Elvis Juice; bourbon and brown sugar glazed pork loin, roasted red potatoes and brussel sprouts with balsamic reduction paired with Hazy Jane; and New York cheesecake bites paired with It’s a Beaut.
As is traditional during our beer tasting weekends, there will be an informal tasting Saturday at noon, which will feature some of our favorite offerings from the Raven’s Roost Pub. And of course we will be offering a great lineup of beer, including more from Founders and BrewDog in the Pub all weekend long.
