Whisky Tasting Weekend – May 10th & 11th!

I am thrilled to announce the first in a new series of events, Whisky Tasting Weekends! For those familiar with our popular Beer Tasting Weekends, these events will share a similar setup, and include a full weekend of good food and great whisky! The first event will be May 10th & 11th, and features an amazing lineup of bourbons Friday night and single malt whiskies Saturday night.

After enjoying a catered dinner in the Great Hall Friday evening, guests will experience a curated bourbon tasting, including Knob Creek 12 Year Old, Henry McKenna 10 Year Old Bottled in Bond, Angel’s Envy Rye and Green River Wheated Bourbon.

Saturday’s after dinner tasting features a selection of single malt Scotch whisky, including Glenfiddich Solera Reserve 15 Year Old, Lagavulin 16 Year Old, Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old and Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak.

Both night’s tastings will be led by Matt Snyder, Founder and Experience Architect at Bourbon Trading Co. In addition to curating and leading amazing tasting events, Matt and Bourbon Trading Co. create a line of absolutely beautiful custom flight boards which enhance the home tasting experience. Guests reserving spots at the inaugural Ravenwood Castle Whisky Tasting Weekend will receive a link with the opportunity to purchase a personalized tasting board, to be delivered at the event.

Please join us May 10th and 11th for a weekend of great whisky! Tickets are $150 per person and include dinner Friday and Saturday nights, and samplings of at least eight whiskies throughout the weekend. Click the “Reservation” button at the top of this page or call (740) 596-2606 to book your room now!

Please note that the event starts with dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.

Also please note that the tasting lineups are subject to availability. While we are confident in our ability to source the whiskies included in the lineup above, should one become unavailable we will substitute a comparable whisky as necessary.
