The 2026-2027 murder mystery season is rapidly approaching! This week I am excited to announce the third mystery in the upcoming season. Please join Chief Detectives Michelle and Ryan as they lead the Ravenwood Detective Agency in the next installment of our gaming themed murder mysteries, Death by Dungeons & Dragons…

It was a solemn scene in the Ravenwood Castle office as a group of old friends gathered for their annual Dungeons & Dragons marathon weekend. The friends had just learned that their usual Dungeon Master had failed to show up, and nobody had heard from him. As they contemplated canceling their long-awaited game session they were interrupted by another castle guest who, having overheard the group’s dilemma, offered to step into the Dungeon Master’s shoes. Left with little choice, the players agreed.

Late that night the fireplace lit the castle library, the flames flickering across maps, miniatures and well worn dice, while the mysterious Dungeon Master guided the party through a deadly adventure. As the game progressed the Dungeon Master confronted the players with dangerous monsters, devious traps, and one final mysterious villain who had manipulated every twist of the story. At long last, with a final dramatic roll of the dice, the villain fell and the party emerged victorious. The table erupted in cheers and laughter, until someone noticed that one of the players hadn’t joined in the celebration.

Slumped silently in his chair, the player seemed to have expired unnoticed sometime during the marathon gaming session. There were no signs of violence or obvious foul play… but also no explanation for how death could have arrived so quietly and unnoticed.

As thoughts of foul play arose, the castle was locked down and suspicion fell on everyone at the table. Had the mysterious Dungeon Master been merely telling a story, or crafting the script for a perfect murder? The Ravenwood Detective Agency is calling all agents, novice and veteran alike, to answer these questions and more. Join us November 6^th & 7^th for Death by Dungeons and Dragons!

Tickets for Death by Dungeons and Dragons are $100. As with all of our mysteries, the event starts after dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.
