Captain’s Deadly Curse – Nov 14th & 15th!
We’re just a few weeks away from the first mystery of the 2025-2026 murder mystery season here at Ravenwood Castle. While the mysteries themselves have yet to begin, the announcements are in full swing. This week I am thrilled to announce the fourth mystery in the upcoming season. Please join Chief Detectives Michelle and Ryan as they lead the Ravenwood Detective Agency in the next installment of our pirate themed mysteries, the Captain’s Deadly Curse…
Ravenwood Castle was supposed to be the perfect hiding place. After a harrowing voyage across storm-lashed seas, the captain and crew of the Ralph’s Revenge, a notorious pirate ship, hauled their latest blood-won treasure inland. They stashed the gold laden chests deep beneath the foundations of the long-abandoned fortress and scattered to the winds, with plans to return one year hence to split the booty.
The appointed hour arrived, and one by one the crew began to return to the castle. Those first to arrive noticed something amiss – namely the first mate dead at the door to the castle, a haunted look in his eye. More pirates arrived, carrying stories of crewmates vanishing enroute to the castle, or falling victim to apparent accidents along the way. Those few who remained whispered of a curse guarding the treasure… while others saw the glint of gold in their comrades’ eyes and feared betrayal more than ghosts.
As the last surviving pirates move to reclaim their prize, trust amongst the remnants of the crew is as thin as a wind worn sail. The question hangs heavy in the salt-thick air: is the treasure cursed, or is there a traitor among them, cutting down the crew to claim the gold alone?
The Ravenwood Detective Agency is calling all agents, veterans and novice alike, to answer these questions and more. Join us November 14th & 15th for The Captain’s Deadly Curse!
Tickets for The Captain’s Deadly Curse are $100. As with all of our mysteries, the event starts after dinner on Friday. Late arrivals will be accommodated as best as possible, but to enjoy the full experience please attempt to arrive early Friday evening.
If you haven’t been to one of our mystery weekends and are wondering what they are all about, check out our Anatomy of a Murder Mystery page for all of the details. And stay tuned here at Quoth the Raven to hear about the rest of the great mysteries we have planned for this season!
